In Acciaroli, a tiny town nestled in the beautiful coastline that runs among Salerno and Palinuro there is a wonderful secret. This hamlet counts about 1000 inhabitants and it has recently become world-famous for the high percentage of ultra-centenarians who live here. A mystery that has brought to Acciaroli a team of scientists from San Diego’s University, who, in cooperation with their colleagues of La Sapienza University in Rome, are trying to unlock the enigma. The reason is still unclear ; it could be a matter of diet ( the famous Mediterranean Diet ), or climate or lack of stress…who knows…surely they will analyze these lively little old men carefully to try to discover their fountain of youth.
