Giovanni Soldini and his Team, aboard the Maserati Boat, have departed on  December 31th 2012, from New York,  to break the record ” New York-San Francisco “, via Cape Horn.
The current monohull’s record is held by Frenchman Yves Parlier,
who set it in 1998, aboard the 60-foot Aquitaine Innovations, using 57 days, 3 hours, 2 minutes.
