At the Monte di Pietà Palace, from February 2th to May 19th 2013, the Pietro Bembo’s reinassance masterpieces, collected within his Paduan house during his lifetime, will be on display to the public.
Pietro Bembo was an important literatus and patron. He perfected the Italian language by creating the famous pocket books along with Aldo Manuzio and very different from the large academic ones, which soon became downright, fashionable objects of the time. As a great friend of many artists of his time he collected some of their works (paintings, sculptures, books, tapestries, jewelry, musical instruments), which now will be exposed in his Paduan house, located on Altinate street . An exhibition that must not be missed by those who will travel to the Holy City.
